[ About ]
Cole Navarro
Stills and motion from the same eye and the same small crew. Editorial when a magazine needs a story, campaign when a brand needs a mood, a short film when a still is not enough. Based in Marfa, Texas, working wherever the brief goes.

[ Three numbers I work by ]
Every shoot starts from three settings
Not rules, a starting point: they decide how the pictures feel before anyone looks through the lens. If your project needs someone who travels light and works fast, that’s where I come in.
Close enough, sharp enough
Wide enough to let the place in, tight enough to keep the eye on the person. Most of my work lives here.

Fast enough to keep it
Wind, horses, kids, a truck on a dirt road: out here nothing waits for the photographer. 1/500 keeps the moment.

I load 400 and leave it. Enough for a grey morning, forgiving under a hard Texas noon, and the grain looks like film, not noise.

[ Commissions ]
Four ways to work together. Most projects mix two of them, and every one starts with a call about the light.
